Guys, FURL sucks. It has sucked for years, and I'm sorry I've been using it. I have switched over to delicious; I would have done this much sooner, but they made it really difficult the last time I tried.


4-21-08  Archives
Uhmm, apparently archives haven't really been working since late 2006. THANX for the heads up guys! They are temporarily fixed, and will stay temporarily fixed until I migrate to new software/layout. I have said some hilarious things in the last 7 years, that future generations will feel lucky I preserved. Go check them out.


1-18-08  new iPhone icon
Woah, it's been 3 years since the last news update! Fuzzysquid now has a webclips icon for your iPhone! It'll automagically show up when you add FS to your home screen. Atom and RSS feeds have been available for a few years now, but I never made special mention of it.

Since it seems to be popular, and it's been linked in a lot of different places besides here, I've decided to post the LJ Images page. At least in the news, at least for now. It's also getting some Google ads because you LiveJournal people are sucking up all my bandwidth (35% for that one page!)

My roommate got laid off from his job yesterday. Now stop right there. Don't you fucking dare start to feel any sympathy for him because here is what his life is going to be like for the rest of the year: he doesn't go to work anymore, gets paid his full salary until the end of April, then he gets a month in severance, then he takes his 3 week vacation, AND THEN he goes on unemployment for six months. AND he had consolation sex! This just goes to prove what I've been saying all along--being unemployed is severely underrated.

There are emails that disable at a distance. One look at the sender and subject line is enough to tell you everything. For me this morning it was an email from my sister titled "grandfather". Seeing that in my inbox was like being punched in the gut. Opening it, my expectations were only slightly unfulfilled; the small mercy was that he wasn?t dead. He?d had a stroke, and is in the hospital. I?ve written about my grandfather in the past, and it saddens me when I admit to myself that I will write more about him when he?s gone, than I ever did while he was alive.

OK! I think it's time to cull my buddy list. I've got 250 people on it, dating back to high school. I talk to all of 5 people. I'll probably get to this right after I finish filing all my papers. And doing my taxes. And hanging the frames I bought two years ago.

OK! FUCK the wireless carriers, and FUCK the cell phone manufacturers. How goddamned hard is it to make a phone desirable? Apparently, real fucking hard, if you're selling them in North America!! I've been looking for a new phone/plan for the last 4 months because I'm getting reamed, and my phone, after a little more than a year, has a worm of stuck pixels that is obscuring 25% of the screen and growing.

But most of all, FUCK CINGULAR for delaying the launch of the only phone I could possibly even consider owning, in order to milk profits from the crap Motorola RAZR, which is already so two months ago.

I've been struck with déjà vu again, and have been about two or three times this past week. Maybe something catastrophic is about to happen. Or maybe I'm just reliving my life over and over again. Either way I'm sick of it. How about some variety, brain? How about some jamais vu, or presque vu, for a change? Though I shouldn't be too hard on it; after all, I was pleased this morning as I was waking from a dream wherein an old ex-girlfriend had become fat & unattractive. Thanks brain!

Tonight I was attacked by two "dogs," who could only be considered dogs by very generous standards. The pitiful animals were of the size that turns even kindhearted men into puppy-kickers. Anyway, my dumb neighbor released the hounds on me tonight as I was walking by her house. If it wasn't me, it would've been pretty hilarious, seeing two snarling football-sized fur balls attached to some poor schmuck's legs as he tried to shake them off, but it WAS me, AND I GOT MAULED! I was bleeding!! If I suddenly stop blogging in the next few days it's because I am DEAD FROM RABIES, so please tell The Cat I loved her.
