Dossier (spring 2000)
Computing Skills Workshop (fall 1999 & fall 2000)
I want to find a job that I love. Things that I already love: print, visual, and interaction design.
Cooper (01/05 - present)
In my role as Visual Design Consultant for Cooper, I develop visual strategies for our clients' products
and execute on them to create persona based, goal-driven interfaces. Working in collaboration with our
interaction designers, I see the design through from start to finish; beginning with user research and ending
with detailed pixel specifications in a visual style guide.
Adspace Networks Inc (04/03 - 12/04)
As Motion Graphics Designer I designed & produced broadcast-quality content for the CoolSign media system—
a network of high definition plasma screens placed in theatres, retail locations, and other venues.
In addition to visual design, the position also served as the primary user testing resource for the
development of proprietary content creation software.
Techdirt Inc (03/04 - 08/04)
A successful business/technology consultancy receiving increasing amounts of press, Techdirt
approached me for a complete redesign of their aging corporate website.
Nanz (12/01 - 10/02)
As the in-house designer I was responsible for creating and maintaining all of Nanz's advertising, marketing,
and catalog materials, as well as overseeing website development. This role involved extensive
studio photography, which has been featured in publications such as Bergdorf Goodman and World
of Interiors.
SkiesOfNYC.com (spring 2001)
I designed and produced a website for Tommy Flynn, a local photographer.
The site showcases Mr. Flynn's work and makes one of his posters available for purchase.
Gensler NY - Studio 585 (summer 2000)
Gensler was recognized in 2000 as AIA Firm of the Year. As an intern I worked on signage
and environmental graphics projects for Studio 585, their corporate and retail graphics
department.
inc3 (summer 1999)
I worked on print and interactive projects as a full-time intern for inc3,
a print, identity and new media design firm in NYC.
Number 17 (summer 1999)
As a part-time intern I contributed to various projects for Number 17,
a print and broadcast design studio in NYC.
Louis Nelson Associates (summer 1998)
Louis Nelson is the designer of the Korean War Memorial in Washington. His firm is involved
with communication, industrial/product and environmental design. As an intern I worked on
print and online projects.
HTML Workshop (spring 2000)
A classmate and I wrote a successful proposal to teach a HTML workshop for our
Junior Independent Study, within the School of Design. Topics covered ran from basic tags
to simple javascript.
I worked as a staff designer for Dossier, a literary and design journal published once a
month with the university newspaper.
I was selected to teach Computing Skills Workshop, a required course for all university
students, for the School of Design. The coursework included introductory material in UNIX,
HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, Pagemaker, MS Office, and various other design and internet
related applications.
I have worked with Macintosh & Windows computers for over twelve years, and I have extensive experience
with the applications Macromedia Fireworks, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and QuarkXPress.
Additionally, I am proficient in Adobe InDesign, and HTML coding. I am fluent in the standard office
productivity programs, and have experience with networking and general IT troubleshooting.
I have trained as a photographer, and I have worked with small, medium, and large formats,
in both film and digital systems.
