I received a mailing from you today regarding Calvin Welch. I have never heard of Mr. Welch until today, but your laughably inept attempt to sway the opinion of the residents of this neighborhood with poorly written arguments and fear-based attacks have convinced me he is a hero that should be nominated for sainthood.

I hope you spent a lot of money on this short-sighted mailing, only to have it backfire spectacularly and cement all our opinions against you. I am certain that I am but one of many residents who opened their mailbox tonight to great mirth. I am simply amazed at who you must think lives in the Haight Ashbury, that you were convinced an appeal to commercial gentrification would work. Do you really believe anyone here thinks a bourgeois supermarket with 62 overpriced condos on top, and the flood of douchebags it would bring, is a good idea? One block from the RED Vic?

And this is coming from a douchebag who drives a BMW to the Whole Foods in SOMA!

I think I will write to Supervisor Mirkarimi, and urge him to do everything he can to block your development efforts. I will also encourage him to investigate the possibilty of legal action against 690 Stanyan LLC for slander against Mr Welch.

I wish upon you and your investors staggering financial losses, and much personal anguish.
